Peru Celebrates their 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations with Kenya.
On 21 August 2026, the Embassy of Peru in Kenya hosted a cocktail reception at Sankara Nairobi in celebration of the Republic of Peru’s National Day and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Peru and Kenya. Hosted by Her Excellency Romy Sonia Tincopa Grados Ambassador of Peru to Kenya, the occasion brought guests together to honor Peru’s independence and reflect on five decades of friendship, cultural exchange and growing bilateral cooperation.
Established in 1976, relations between the two nations have continued to develop through South–South cooperation and shared interests spanning trade, sustainable development, culture and closer people-to-people engagement. The reception offered a fitting celebration of this important milestone and of the possibilities ahead for an even stronger Peru–Kenya partnership.
