On Sunday, 13 September 2026, the Embassy of Mexico in Kenya in collaboration with The Social House Nairobi hosted Viva México: An Independence Day Brunch at The Other Room. Held ahead of Mexico’s Independence Day, the afternoon celebration brought the flavour and spirit of Mexico to Nairobi through a specially curated brunch by Chefs Panda, José and Aníbal accompanied by music, cocktails and cultural experiences. The occasion offered a vibrant expression of Mexican hospitality while demonstrating how food and culture can foster meaningful people to people connections between Mexico and Kenya.
